Many people fall into the trap of cyclical keto diet plans thinking they’ll lose more fat. However, most people are insulin resistant and don’t do well on carbs because if takes a while to convert to ketosis. Adding carbs back into the diet merely puts them back into sugar burning mode and slows down progress.

Our bodies were designed to burn fat and live on ketones because of the massive fat storage it has compared to the small amount of glycogen reserves.

Yes, carbs will make you feel better as you are going through keto adaptation because it will raise the blood sugar, but at the expense of taking you away from running on ketones.

The best thing to do is do keto correctly with intermittent fasting so you are 100% in keto adaption and the need for carbs will be non-existent.

Today I’m going to give you my opinion about carb cycling while doing intermittent fasting and keto.

Here’s what most people do.

Carb Cycling

"keto"

They start off with burning sugar and they’re running on their glycogen.

Then they decide to go on a ketogenic diet and start converting over keto adaptation which starts burning fat and then starts running the body on ketones.

The truth is you have a lot more stored fat than you do stored sugar.

Fat vs. Sugar

"keto"

An average thin person that weighs 154 pounds would have at least 70,000 calories of extra fat reserve, but we only have 1,700 calories of stored sugar.

So just based on that, it makes more sense that our bodies are meant to run on fat for fuel not carbs.

One of the reasons why people want to do carb cycling is for their performance, they actually feel better.

That’s usually because their blood sugar’s kind of go down and they they don’t have enough fuel to support the muscles.

However, if you actually fully adapt yourself to keto with time and done correctly, you will not have this lower blood sugar.

You’ll be able to switch over to fat burning very very comfortably and your performance will be very high.

EDITORS NOTE: High-fat foods have been demonized by the mainstream media. Did you know that there are actually 4 specific fatty foods that are proven to ACCELERATE weight loss and fat-burning?

It’s true, and even better, I show you all four at the link below…

=> 4 high-fat foods that ACCELERATE fat-burning

Performance Athletes

"keto"

Endurance athletes who get into ketosis for months and months and even up to a year, burn three times as much fat as anyone else.

Their systems are very efficient at burning ketones and they don’t have this drop in performance at all.

Now if we look at the majority of the population, I would say at least 60% have something called “insulin resistance.”

Insulin Resistance

"keto"

They cannot get away with carb cycling, they’re already Carboholics.

Now that would be equivalent to taking an alcoholic and putting them on alcohol cycling where they can drink a few times a week, that’s is going to be disastrous.

However, they’re gonna feel better because they won’t have the withdrawals. The problem is that they will eventually get worse.

This holds true with carbs.

EDITORS NOTE: Knowing what and how much to eat for weight loss is critical towards your success.

As soon as you start feeding the person carbs allowing them to cycle in their carbs, they never fully adapt to running their body on ketones because it takes time to go from burning sugar to burning fat.

It’s very fast to go back to burning sugar, but burning fat for fuel takes a long time.

So it’s not a good thing for the average person or the majority of the population who are insulin resistant.

Now if you can get your body fully adapted to running on ketones, you will not have problems with your performance and if your body needs glucose it will make it the liver.

The liver has the capacity to make glucose on a protein and out of fat.

What’s Next?

The ketogenic diet is the hottest diet of 2018 because it helps you quickly lose stubborn fat… it reduces fat storing inflammation… it helps you live longer and avoid today’s most deadly diseases.

But there are several problems that accompany a “traditional” high fat keto diet:
